My interest lies in exploring how time and space are experienced as related to desire, courtship, and intimacy. In my work these themes are addressed through both the personal context of memory and the societal context of cultural expectation.
More recently, I have been looking closely at female sexual desire. In these images I am looking, in micro detail, at dried female come collected over period of time. What emerges on the other side of the lens, I find, are sublime and gorgeous images. Viewed in such close detail, female come creates transfixing shapes, textures and colors, beautiful and fascinating to look at. Through these traces left by end of desire, I thus attempt to capture and pay homage to the ephemeral nature of intimacy.
